Windows7 サポート終了のお知らせ　KB4493132

Microsoftは2019年3月20日にWindows7がサポートを終了することをユーザーに通知するために最新パッチとしてKB4493132をWindows Updateとして配信することになったようです。

Windows7 サポート終了はいつ？

Windows 7は2020年1月14日にサポートが終了する予定のため、それ以降はセキュリティ脆弱性に関する更新がMicrosoftによる提供がされなくなります。
そのため、先のKB4493132パッチ配信はユーザーにサポートを終了する案内となっています。

KB4493132がインストールされると・・。

KB4493132がインストールされた場合、通知プログラムとしてSystem32フォルダ下にある”sipnotify.exe”が実行される。
※C:\Windows\System32\sipnotify.exe
タスクスケジューラにより、ユーザーログイン時またはロック解除時、もしくは毎日12時に起動するようにあらかじめ設定されている。

通知プログラムで表示される画面とは？

KB4493132が実際に有効になった場合、sipnotify.exeにより下記のようなポップアップ画面が表示されるので、早急にWindows7から新しいOS（Windows10）に更新したほうが無難です。

ちなみに、画面左下にあるトグルをクリックした場合は、この通知は表示されなくなるので注意が必要です。

Windows 7のサポート終了通知を表示したくない場合、KB4493132をインストールしないか、インストール後に表示されるポップアップのトグルをオンにする、またはWindows Updateで更新プログラムにKB4493132が表示された場合、右クリックして「更新プログラムの非表示」を選択することで、インストールを回避することができます。
すでにインストールされていた場合、一端アンインストールして更新プログラムを非表示にします。

どちらにしてもWindows7のサポート終了には変わりがないので対策をお勧めする。
